Recording Classes and Events Subject to the College of Law's General Policy on Videotaping Classes for Students, Video Operations (VO) may videotape classes and skill exercises for students. Students must comply with their instructors’ or organizations' policies and with VO procedures for requesting services and using videotapes to assure proper, effective use of service. Please consult Current Taping Policies and Videotape Locations List (24KB PDF*), which publishes various policies and where students may find the videotapes.
Classroom Video System (CVS) Project for Digital Recording in Room 125 Beginning Spring 2008, regularly scheduled classes in Room 125 will be digitally recorded, using the Classroom Video System (CVS), instead of VHS tapes. Students will watch streamed videos instead of tapes. To request a class be recorded or to view a video, open Online Videotaping Request Forms, log in, and follow the appropriate link. (Requests are still subject to current instructors’ videotaping policies.) Students may use computer in the AV Room 130 in the library to view streams, or may borrow headphones at the Circulation Desk, or use their own headphones, to view videos with their laptops. If you have questions regarding video-playing software on your laptop, or using the CVS request form, please contact Darlene Kaskie or Jeremy Grasby (by e-mail: Computer Support Staff; in person: AV Room 130 of the law library; or by phone:319-335-8540).
