Special Increases to the Estimated Cost of Education
You may have your total estimated cost of education increased for loan eligibility with proper documentation for the following costs for the following reasons.
- Student medical expenses not covered by insurance.
- Commuting more than 100 miles a day.
- Computer purchased immediately prior to or during law school for your educational use. This option is available only one time during your law school education for a maximum of $2,000. To request an increase in your Total Estimated Cost of Education for your computer purchase, please provide a copy of your computer purchase invoice and a completed copy of the Request for Adding Computer Purchase to the Cost of Attendance (51KB PDF*) to Jessica in the Financial Aid Office, Room 276, Boyd Law Building. The purchase must be made in your name.
- Childcare expenses. If you have dependent children living with you and you will have daycare costs for your children while you attend law school, your eligibility for financial aid may be increased for your childcare costs. Please request a "Request for Childcare Expenses" form by contacting the Financial Aid Office.
Special budget requests must be accompanied by appropriate documentation by the appropriate agency and mailed to:

Your name, phone number and Student ID number must also accompany any financial aid correspondence.
