The Iowa Chapter of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) focuses on the relationship of the black attorney to the American legal structure and works to foster an attitude of professional competence. BLSA strives to promote the needs and goals of black law students, while instilling a greater awareness of and encouraging a deeper commitment among legal professionals to the empowerment of the black community. BLSA also seeks to actively engage and advance the local community and university student body through outreach and public service activities.
