Timothy Semelroth

BA, Drake University, 1994
JD, The University of Iowa, 1997

Tim Semelroth graduated from Drake University in Des Moines in 1994 and graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1997. Immediately after law school, he served as a federal judicial law clerk for Judge John Jarvey. After his clerkship, Semelroth was hired by Cedar Rapids attorneys, John Riccolo and (now Judge) David Baker. Since 1998, Semelroth has devoted his legal practice to representing seriously injured Iowans and their families.  In addition to his practice at Riccolo & Semelroth, PC in Cedar Rapids, Semelroth teaches trial skills as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Iowa College of Law.  Semelroth is also an elected officer in the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association and a past president of the Young Lawyers Division of the Iowa State Bar Association. In 2006, Semelroth was elected by his fellow attorneys to serve on the state commission that selects new judges for the 6th Judicial District (Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn and Tama Counties).
