Richard Koontz

Mr. Koontz earned a BA from Hampshire College in 1981, a MA in 1985 from Northeastern University and JD (magna cum laude) from the New England School of Law in 1989. Prior to teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Law he was the General Counsel and Manager of Administrative Services at the Field Museum. As an Associate at Goodwin, Proctor & Hoar in Massachusetts Mr. Koontz drafted wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents. Mr. Koontz is currently the Director of the Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center. He co-teaches courses on Cultural Property and Non-Profit Organizations with Professor Willard "Sandy" Boyd both through the College of Law and the College of Business.
