The University of Iowa College of Law's Career Services Office provides personalized career and life planning, strategic networking, experiential learning programs and job search assistance to law students and alumni.

The special rigor that characterizes Iowa's distinctive brand of legal education prepares students to enter a wide variety of professional fields related to law.  Our alumni are successful attorneys in large multinational firms and solo practices, corporate executives, non-profit and public interest attorneys, public policy specialists, private equities analysts and managers, entrepreneurs, scholars and much more.

During a typical year, representatives of nearly 200 law firms, corporations, government agencies, and courts visit Iowa City to conduct job interviews. Even more consider Iowa students through off-campus recruiting programs in Chicago, New York City, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles.
