We are happy to help you with career exploration and transitions, strategic job searches, alumni connections, and alternative careers opportunties.  Assistance is availble with personal appointments, phone appointments, e-mail, résumé reviews, mock interviews and more.  Please don't hesitate to contact Career Services at any time in your career.

Hire Iowa: Living and Working in Iowa
Each year approximately 65% of students from the College of Law leave the state to begin their careers.  And each year we hear from alumni who wish to return to Iowa to live and work.  We want to help.

The College of Law has established a confidential and personalized program to help alumni with their return to Iowa.  These services include:

      • Career Counseling
      • Transition Strategies
      • Strategic Networking
      • Advocacy

We are building a network of alumni and employers who want to help other alumni relocate back to Iowa.  This network is not limited to the practice of law.  Iowa has developed a rich and vibrant economy that need professionals with legal training in business, education, public service, government, and, yes, the practice of law.  Our goal is to help you clarify  your interests and needs in preparation for meaningful conversations with key decision makers in your field.  To discuss your plans contact Career Services at 319-335-9011.

Helping Current Students
Alumni are the single most credible and helpful resource available to current students at the College of Law.  We hope you will consider helping them.  Here are some ways to be involved with current students:

Job Bulletins
Employers frequently contact Career Services offices throughout the country when they are interested in advertising openings. Iowa provides its listings in a bi-weekly bulletin listed below. The Job Bank provides access to other schools' advertisements.
