Alumni of all years are welcome to use Career Services for their life and professional transitions. As new or veteran lawyers, you face your first days at work, bar reviews and exams, continued job searches and, sooner than you think, maybe even your first career transition. Each year approximately 65% of students from the College of Law leave the state to begin their careers. And each year we hear from alumni who wish to return to Iowa to live and work. We want to help.

The College of Law has established a confidential and personalized program to help alumni with their return to Iowa. These services include:

We are building a network of alumni and employers who want to help other alumni relocate back to Iowa. This network is not limited to the practice of law. Iowa has developed a rich and vibrant economy that need professionals with legal training in business, education, public service, government, and, yes, the practice of law. Our goal is to help you clarify your interests and needs in preparation for meaningful conversations with key decision makers in your field.
