Iowa Tort Guide
Lawrence E. Blades and Charles A. Blades (2000) ($35)

This is the fifth edition of a practice book covering significant areas of Iowa tort law, the first edition having been published in 1976. All chapters have been updated, many have been substantially revised, and one new chapter on employment discrimination has been added.

The purpose of this book is to provide practicing lawyers a quick and ready access to the basic rules, principles, and authorities in major areas of Iowa tort law. The book is, as its title indicates, a "guide." It is not intended to serve as a definitive word on each subject or as a substitute for the reader's own independent research and interpretation of the law. The lawyer can use this book as a beginning or point of departure, but not as the final or complete, or even accurate, word on each subject.
