Iowa Tort Guide—About the Authors

Lawrence E. Blades and Charles A. Blades are partners in the law firm of Blades, Carmichael & Rosser, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where they specialize in professional malpractice and other tort litigation, as well as insurance coverage matters. Lawrence E. Blades was dean of the Iowa Law School from 1971-1976. He received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his law degree from the University of Michigan, where he was a member of Order of the Coif and officer of the Michigan Law Review editorial staff.

Charles A. Blades received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. He received his legal education at the University of Iowa College of Law, where he was a member of Order of the Coif. He practiced with the firm of Peterson and Ross in Chicago, Illinois, before returning to Iowa.
