Iowa Motor Vehicle Desk Handbook—About the Authors

The Motor Vehicle Desk Handbook was co-authored by Barry A. Lindahl and Les V. Reddick, and researched by both current and former students at the University of Iowa College of Law. Mr. Lindahl is corporation counsel for the City of Dubuque. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Iowa. After graduating from the College of Law, he was a faculty member for two years and he is an adjunct lecturer at the College of Law, where he has taught Trial Advocacy since 1978.  He is the author of the revised addition of Iowa Practice and the co-author of Modern Tort Law. He was a member of the Iowa Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Study of the Federal Rules of Evidence.  He is a frequent lecturer at University of Iowa College of Law continuing education programs.

Mr. Reddick practices with the firm of Kane, Norby & Reddick, P.C., in Dubuque, specializing in litigation. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel, and the Iowa Defense Counsel Association.  He has served on the Iowa Uniform Jury Instruction Committee of the Iowa Bar Association since 1991.
