Enrollment Data
As of Ocober 2012, the College of Law has an enrollment of 522 JD candidates and four LLM students. Forty-three percent are women, 19% are minorities, and 53% are Iowa residents.

Bar Passage Data

Each November the College of Law reports bar passage data to the American Bar Association (ABA). The ABA requires the College to report first-time bar exam results for 70 percent of each graduating class. N/A indicates that the College did not report results from that jurisdiction.

Graduation Rate

Of the students commencing their JD program at Iowa in 2009, 88.66% (172/194) graduated from this law school in 2012.  When adjusted by (i) including students who transferred to Iowa as if they started here in 2009, and (ii) excluding those who transferred to other law schools, enrolled in joint degree programs requiring more than three years to graduate, or requested and were granted a leave of absence or permission to study part-time temporarily, the graduation rate in 2012 was 94.62% (176/186).
